Well, I suppose I could show the picture of the snail crossing our sidewalk, but that would be dull and slightly out of focus so here goes:
If you are afraid of heights as I am you might experience a bit of vertigo looking at this. We were on the fourth floor at the Mission Inn in Riverside, California looking down the staircase to a fountain on the first floor. They also had an elevator. Guess which I used? The architecture of this grand old hotel is wonderful. It transports you to some old European city that I will never visit. Instead, this edifice is a short drive away. . The best part was that when we arrived, we told the bellhops at the door we were tourists and they told us to just take the elevator to the fourth floor and work our way down. It was free!
We had the good fortune to be invited to a wedding here some years ago and you would have thought you were in ancient England.
