Dreaming of New FOs for 2013

Barbara over at Cat Patches has a linky party (and giveaway) if we list what projects we are planning for the new year. I can only make a generalized list.  I am very good at making lists.  You should have seen the one Santa got!

Monthly
A Freestyle quilt made entirely of scraps. These will be using the Crumb Chaos method. These will be for donation.

A doll quilt for whomever I get as a partner with Doll Quilters Monthly.  Each month has a theme so the pattern and fabrics might follow that. Or they might not. I also will use some kits I have like this one.
January through March

Baby quilt will be made from these fabrics designed by Joel Dewberry.
The mother has chosen this collection for her palette. I finally found some of it on Amazon.

Aviary2 by Free Spirit
I probably will use the same Yellow Brick Road pattern I used for the mother's quilt that I made some five years ago.

Our quilt guild has issued a challenge using old quilting magazines.  We are to select one project inspired by the magazine we were given at the Christmas luncheon that is on pages 1, 3, 20, 13 or 31. The best project for me was on page 31 of the Quilters Newsletter I received.
This will be done by the end of March. I love Log Cabins and stars so this is going to be a fun project.

I have asked for some quilt books for Christmas.  Depending on what I get, some projects will come from those. I still need to finish some months from the Art to Heart Count on It book.
On my Want to Do List is a Twister quilt using the Twister ruler and precuts. I have a good stash of charm squares so I need to get the ruler and make some fun small quilts with them.

After that, it will be whatecver strikes my fancy at the moment. I will also be improving my knitting skills. My cousin in Virginia spins her own yarn and sent me a skein of Merino to try. I am knitting it up with glee.  The color is so nice with an added sparkle.  If you want some handspun yarn, she sells it on her website at Spinning My Wheels Fibers. Here what I have made so far.
It is going to be another good year, I think.  Here is wishing you all the best of life next year.

That Dewberry fabric is SCRUMPTIOUS! And what a fun challenge from your guild. Sounds like a hoot.
