This week I received an email from Fons and Porter asking me to review their new ebook on Log Cabin quilt patterns. I LOVE Log Cabins but this book opened my eyes to more possibilities than I had known existed.
The cutest doll quilt pattern is in this book. It is a Linked Chevrons pattern. It is the perfect size for my Doll Quilters Monthly projects. This is the smallest of the patterns. The Chevron is new to me. Also in the book is this lovely Courthouse Steps pattern.
.
I really like the instructions for each of the patterns. There is a chart for varying sizes of blocks. Since this is an ebook, you can set up your laptop or tablet by your workspace and follow the charts. You will be saving trees! This is so much more modern than the days when my dear Nana made this piece:
You can get a free copy of this ebook, called Building a Better Log Cabin, from this website:

Happy Quilting!

Sweet! And that block from Nana. Sigh. You know so much more about the family than I.
Talk with you Friday!
