Wrapping Up December and the Year

-"The most powerful of tomorrows: one moment that overflows with renewal, with resolution. The exhilaration of being able to start anew, when there are no mistakes.  Not yet, anyway."
                              - Kate Jacobs in Knit the Season

December flew by, didn't it?  At first it went slooowwllly because of the extra week between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then it picked up speed and now we are saying good bye.  I am linking up with Cat Patches and the New FOs party going on over there. Here are my new FOs for December:

This small table runner in Christmas fabrics was for my swap partner in Doll Quilter's Monthly.  She has received it so I can post it now. It went all the way to Sweden.
I knit up some yummy yarn into a cap and cowl pattern I found online.

This quilt top is a Mystery Quilt pattern from Quilters Club of America and done with a Moda dessert roll (5" strips).
In time for Christmas decorations, I made up the paper pieced tree blocks I won at our guild luncheon into this small wall quilt.

Another cap knitted. This was my first attempt at a rolled brim.
The Modern Mystery quilt is off to the long armer.  I decided it was too big for me to do it justice so I turned it over to the pro I will probably have it back in January so you can see the finish then. I am excited about having it done.  I requested straight line quilting so we will see what he does.
This assemblage of plaids is the Freestyle quilt blocks for this month.  I bought a bag full of these scraps at our guild's Sew What? table for 50 cents! They will go together nicely for a manly quilt for donation.

That's it for the year.  Wishing you a Happy New Year!

These are great projects, Judee. And I must say that Santa in your blog title is absolutely adorable! Is that a pattern?

What a wonderful bunch of fun you've created in December!

What is the "Sew What?" table at your guild? I'm the brand new president of my guild, and am looking for some new, fun things to add!
