For the past few months I have been thinking about trying the new Lil' Twister tool.. A quilt shop nearby offered to show me how to use it, but I had a boatload of projects going on at the time so I declined. Then I couldn't find the tool when I went into other shops. I wanted the one for the 5 inch charms. There are three sizes. A shop would have the big one, or the little one, just not the one in the middle that I wanted. I felt like Goldilocks. Finally, I asked at my closest LQS and she said she would order the one I wanted. Last week I got it. Phew! Now I was ready. I even found a timely pattern on the Internet. It is called Hearts Delight. I don't have a link, sorry.
This is my finish for the week. It was fun to do. My only large work surface is my kitchen peninsula. I had to do the cutting there, put the squares onto a smaller mat and then move one row at a time to the sewing room. It was woirth it and fortunately our house isn't all that big. Here's the back:
I quilted only the white area with a mettallic thread in a stipple free motion motif.
The charms are from Moda's Love is in the Air line from a couple of years ago.
The tool comes with a pattern. Now my stash of 5 inch charms has been used somewhat. This is an easy project that looks complicated. The Lil' Twister is from CS Designs .
Today is link up day with Finish It Up Friday, TGIFF, and Can I Get a Whoop Whoop? Check out the finishes over at those blogs.

Your quilt is beautiful! My maiden name is "Valentine" so anything with a heart on it makes me smile. I have been wanting to try one of those twisty rulers.... I think your heart convinced me to order one!
