Supersizing a Shoo Fly

I am always on the lookout for quick and easy patterns I can use to make quilts for donation to the local hospital.  One recent find is from Sew Mama Sew.

Each Shoo Fly is 35 inches square.  If you put four together, you have a 70 x 70 inch quilt. That is too big for the hospital so I made one at a time.  I used some kid prints I had in my stash. As the tutorial suggests, I used some big prints.

Quilting was straight line on some with free motion in the middle blocks and the red prints. The piecing was very fast. If you need a quick baby gift, this is a go to pattern.  I used a roll over binding on all but one ( I made 6).  It is stronger for little hands to grasp and drag around. It washes well too. All these photos were after a washing.

I plan to use up more of my stash with this pattern.  Hospital patients, here I come!

Linking up today with Esther's WOW on Wednesday.

Happy Quilting!

I do believe all of the ideas you've offered on your post. They are really convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are too brief for beginners. May you please extend them a little from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.
